Too often, artists give up based off how well they see someone else progress. Do not do this. Judge yourself based on how much you want to progress as an artist and push to achieve your dreams.

Having a portfolio of your work is so important! You may never get “discovered” but you’ll never get noticed if you do not advertise your skills. You could be the best drummer in the world, but if you never show your potential, “making it big” becomes a slim opportunity.

Training to play with the click is the most important thing for a drummer. A drummer, as the beating heart of the band, should be as precise as possible.

Before sitting down at your instrument, plan out what you are going to work on. Try to set aside an 15 minutes to hour to hone that rudiment, that fill, that sticking. If you make the time and stick to it, you might see some awesome results.
